          Christian Joshua Bartolo, the only thing that others cannot take from me, my name. My mom told me that my name came from the bible. But I am always thinking , Am I as holy as those people in the bible? I am commonly known as “OHWA”, it is from my name Joshua. A very unique name that just fit my personality. I am very lucky that I am born in the Land of brave heroes that surrendered last during the WWII and where the historical death march happened, Bataan.

     

      I am a student who is fond of reading books about law and politics. I am a food lover. I do cooking, singing, and writing. I love politics, constitution, judiciary, law and government. I am still improving my talent on debate. I am a kind of person who doesn't give up and always want an argue. I am a quite serious person with a little bit  sense of humor. I am a bookworm and a writer. I have a lot of idols but some of them were Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago (lawyer), Sen. Franklin Drilon (lawyer), Sen. Joker Arroyo (lawyer), Sen. Juan Ponce-Enrile (lawyer), DOJ Sec. Leila de Lima (lawyer), and some of the former chief justices and present associate justices. I am also a nationalist , socialist, and a little bit  activist.

   

     I want to be a lawyer, not just a simple lawyer but a human rights lawyer. Because nowadays our country is  witnessing different cases regarding human rights violation and extra-judicial killings. My greatest dream in life is to be the Supreme Court Chief Justice of the Philippines. I know that being a Chief Justice is a very dangerous position, not only because you will encounter big syndicate group and people but also because of the death threats that you will receive. When I become the Chief Justice, the Philippines will have an equal and reliable Supreme Court of Justice. And the justice system of our country  will no longer be a tortoise but instead it will be a cheetah . Someday I want to be a jurist with justice on my hand. I  always want to be a political analyst/scientist. So that someday I can help in improving our country's political system and help in solving the long time problems of our country, poverty and corruption.  I really don’t know why since I was a child I already love my country. Maybe it is because I believe that our country needs politically, socially, and economically aware citizens. And believe it or not I am one of those. That’s all about me! And whether you say that I'm insane?, I don't care! Let us all be a part of the solution and never be a part of the problem! God bless us all and God bless the Philippines!
